The Loughborough alumnus earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Construction Management from the University in 2003. He was then appointed as deputy director at the UTM and Commercialisation Centre, where he served between 2010 and 2014.
After this, he was seconded to the Department of Higher Education as director of the Industrial Relations Division for five years before taking the role of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) at UMK in 2019.
The University congratulates Dr Abdullah on his new appointment as Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and wishes him success in the role.
