Penny Briscoe CBE served as the Chef de Mission for ParalympicsGB at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. She is the first woman to have fulfilled both summer and winter Games Chef de Mission roles and has now served as a Chef de Mission at five Paralympic Games.
Under her leadership, ParalympicsGB secured second place on the medal table for the third consecutive Games, with 46% of athletes being female, the highest proportion ever.
Penny has played a pivotal role in driving collaboration and innovation within the Paralympic Movement and continues to inspire others through her advocacy for gender equality in sports leadership.
She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University in 2017 and was inducted into the Loughborough Sport Hall of Fame in 2022.
