Create and Connect (international students)
An opportunity for international students to get creative and connect with one another!

About Create and Connect
Create & Connect is a series of fortnightly sessions designed specifically for international students at Loughborough University. It’s a chance to come together and do something creative in your spare time while getting to know fellow students in a safe and welcoming space.
The series is a collaboration between the International Student Experience Team (ISE) in Student Services and LU Arts, the University’s extra-curricular arts programme.
The sessions alternate between two different formats: artist-led workshops where you will be taught a specific skill and art sessions where you can use the materials in the arts trolley to create something yourself. All materials are provided for every session, and you can take away anything you make at the end. The arts trolley sessions each have a theme and/or prompts to help guide you and a member of ISE or LU Arts will be on hand at each session. The materials in the arts trolley include paints, pencils, pastels, different types of paper, scissors and glue.
All sessions are suitable for all ability levels, no previous experience is necessary.

How to find the room
If you are using the stairs, take the main staircase from the ground floor plaza (opposite The Lounge). At the top of the stairs turn right and follow the corridor, going round to the right when you reach the windows. The corridor bends round to the left and then right again. The Collaboration Station is on your left at the left hand bend in the corridor. If you are using the lift, take the lift to the first floor. Once you have come out of the lift area, turn right and go through the doors into the corridor. Follow the corridor to the right and then left. The Collaboration Station will be straight ahead of you.
Please note that the Chinese ink painting session on 12 February will be in the Council Chamber which is located further along the same corridor as the Collaboration Station.
