An exhibition of collages in the foyer of the Pilkington Library by Danielle Vaughan and Helen Sutherland.

About the exhibition

This exhibition is a collaboration between two doctoral researchers from the School of Design and Creative Arts, both using collage in their research but in very different ways.

Danielle is using collage as a potential well-being tool, with particular reference to the act of paper ripping.

Helen is using collage to consider how it can be used to explore posthuman subjectivity within the work.

Part of the exhibition includes work which has been produced by both Danielle and Helen swapping over pieces and considers notions of power, personal and public, within the work.

The exhibition is open all week from Monday - Friday during staffed hours at the Library (9am - 5pm).

Join free workshops

There will also be two free workshops on Monday 3rd & Friday 7th February in Seminar Room 1 in the library, from 2-4pm.

The workshops are open to staff and students and no experience is required. All materials are provided although participants can bring their own papers if they wish.

Please be aware that participants will not be able to take home the collective piece they 'collagerate' on. However, there will be an option to create your own collage as well as co-creating.

Accessibility

There is step-free access into the Library and lift access to Seminar Room 1.
