Luke Langbein-Stott

Dr Luke Langbein-Stott has been involved with the University since 2005.

Having already obtained Undergraduate and Master’s degrees with the University, he was awarded his PhD in English and Social Psychology in 2016.

In 2019 he was elected a member of the University’s Alumni Advisory Board, which gives voice to a community of over 200,000 former students world-wide, before becoming President of the Alumni Association and Chair of the Board in 2022.

Luke’s career has primarily been in the public sector, working in communications and marketing roles for the Midlands Engine and D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, organisations tasked by government to deliver economic growth.

Prior to that Luke held positions with both British Athletics and BaseballSoftballUK.

He currently works for the British Business Bank, a government-owned economic development bank dedicated to making finance markets work better for smaller businesses.

He has served on University Council since 2022.
