Research and expertise

I specialize in civil engineering with a focus on finite element modeling, structural analysis, and machine learning applications in the field. I have extensive experience in numerical methods, damage and fracture analysis, and structural engineering. My work also incorporates AI to predict defect and degradation.

Current research activity

  • Enhancing understanding of the degradation processes
  • Investigating inspection and condition assessment strategies
  • Developing modelling techniques, leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence, to evaluate current, and forecast future, degradation

Recently completed research projects

  • Data-intelligence modelling for concrete-filled steel tube columns (under process)
