Research and expertise
My research explores the role and practice of drawing as an environment for speculation. Charting a largely unmapped disciplinary territory between the documentation of spatial effect and artistic arti[fact], my work exploits the generative potential of non-traditional modes of architectural representation an attempt to initiate a conversation between process, image, and representation. I was invited to exhibit at the Yale School of Architecture as part of the “In Memoriam” Exhibition (2019) and my work has been published in Cartographies of The Imagination (2021), AD: “Radical Architectural Drawing” Profile 278 (2022) and ‘Of The Moment’ Issue 1 (2024), this work will also feature in the ‘Impossible Drawings’ Exhibition at the A+D Gallery in LA (October 24-Jan25) curated by Pritzker Prize winner Thom Mayne.
My recent publications include essays in DRAWING: Research, Theory, Practice (Intellect Books 2022) and AD “A Sublime Synthesis: Architecture and Art” (Wiley September 2023). I contributed to and edited “Speculative Coolness” (Routledge 2023) with Professor Bryan Cantley. I contributed to and Guest-Edited edited as special issue of the renowned architectural journal AD “Ghost Stories: Architecture and the Intangible” (Wiley July 2024).
An Article discussing a new thread within my ongoing research project titled ‘Filigreed God’s’ (Baldwin 2019-) with feature in ‘AD - The Allegorical Architectural Machine’. (Wiley November 2014).
