I specialise in integrating advanced digital transformation technologies into construction management to enhance project sustainability, decision-making and operational efficiency. My expertise includes artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, BIM, digital twins and robotics, and AI-based defect detection in reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC). My work bridges academia and industry, focusing on cutting-edge solutions for the built environment.

Profile
I am a Lecturer in Construction Management at Loughborough University’s School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering. With over nine years of industrial experience at Hyundai Engineering (Hyundai Motor Group), I have contributed to large-scale, high-impact construction projects across Algeria, Kenya,and South Korea. My roles as a Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Design Engineer and Project Manager have provided me with invaluable insights into the complexities of managing mega construction projects.
My undergraduate degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, with a specialisation in computer science subjects, equipped me with proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Java and Python, along with expertise in frameworks like Node.js, React.js and Django. I also have advanced skills in AI frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow and extensive experience with Linux-based environments, enabling seamless integration of digital tools into construction workflows.
I hold an MSc in Construction Economics and Management from University College London (UCL), where I focused on the economics and management of construction enterprises and projects. My academic and research pursuits emphasise leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), advanced digital transformation technologies, BIM, digital twins, blockchain and robotics to enhance project sustainability, decision-making and operational efficiency in the construction sector.
My career aspiration is to establish myself as a leader in academia at a research-intensive UK university. I aim to advance research and teaching in digital design and construction, mentor the next generation of engineers, and foster collaborations between academia and industry to drive innovation in the built environment.
