About this event

Would you know what to do if a friend or teammate collapses and is unresponsive? If not, join Loughborough Sport for this SADS and Cardiac Arrest Awareness Day in partnership with the Jo Humphries Memorial Trust (JHMT) and the NHS University Hospitals of Leicester.

 

You will receive free practical hands-on training on the following:

  • The red-flag symptoms that you should let your doctor or coach know
  • Learn how to recognise a cardiac arrest
  • How to deliver CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) compressions
  • How to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • The emergency action plans and AED locations where you play sport on campus
  • Plus lots more!

It’s been over two weeks since news broke that retailers Marks & Spencer and the Co-op, were dealing with serious cyber incidents. Both are still experiencing painful repercussions following the attack, with the latter still struggling to get shelves fully stocked in certain areas, and the former unable to process online orders and, more worryingly, announcing that customer data has been stolen. Many are now asking, ‘why hasn’t the situation been fixed yet?’.
