The swimming pool and Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU) East car parks (highlighted in green in the image below) will provide parking for up to a maximum of two hours to better support visitors to the pool, LSU and other facilities in the area.
A new location has been created on APCOA’s payment platforms – ‘Loughborough University Short Stay’ to allow booking for this area (options can be found on our visitor parking page) and signage will be installed to support the update.
The car parks will be managed through ANPR and Parking Charge Notices (PCN) will be issued to vehicles staying beyond the maximum period automatically. The roll out of this will be managed carefully by the Parking team to allow users the opportunity to get used to the change.
Please note that there are NO exceptions to the maximum stay two hours rule and this includes staff, students and campus partners.
Any enquiries should be directed to parking@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk.
General parking information for students
Eligible students can still apply for a 2024/25 permit to park on campus. Designated student parking zones are Car parks 1, 7, 13, 14 and Holywell.
Details on the student parking criteria and registration process can be found on our website. Applications for 2025/26 permits will open in September 2025.
Parking is not permitted on the restricted roads surrounding the University campus when attending campus for University purposes. Disciplinary action may be taken in accordance with Ordinance XVII to any student found parked in these restricted roads for the purpose of visiting campus.
Students who wish to use a motor vehicle in Loughborough during their studies must register their vehicle with the University, regardless of whether or not they intend to bring the vehicle onto campus. Failure to register a motor vehicle may lead to charges being imposed in accordance with Ordinance XVII.
