Early career researchers: Share experiences of fixed term contracts
Hundreds of responses have already been received from early career researchers about their experiences of fixed-term research contracts. This input is crucial for driving positive change.
Challenges such as lack of permanent employment can affect careers, finances, and well-being. A new study by C-DICE, the UK’s largest postdoctoral researcher development programme led by Loughborough University, aims to quantify these impacts and advocate for better policies to foster a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable research culture.
The anonymous online survey is open to all early career researchers in any discipline who are currently or have recently been employed on a fixed-term contract.
Experiences can be shared by Friday, 25 April. For each response, C-DICE will donate to Cara, the Council for At-Risk Academics.
