Profile
Trained as a bioengineer, Dr Islam's research focuses on designing and improving biological processes to address major societal issues such as climate change, sustainability, and cancer treatments. His work includes creating eco-friendly petrochemicals from gases, reducing nutrient pollution in the environment, and developing new cancer treatments through innovative chemotherapies. His work combines both computer-based and hands-on methods to engineer biological systems.
