Dr Papathomas’ studies the mental health experiences of athletes with a particular focus on athlete body image and disordered eating. He has also studies athlete abuse, athlete depression, and athlete anxiety. His work has been funded by the English Institute of Sport and the International Olympic Committee’s Advanced Studies Centre. He has published across a variety of high impact peer reviewed journals and also written for The Conversation. Anthony is an engaging speaker who has provided comment for Sky News, Euronews, and the BBC.
