A huge congratulations to Adam for successfully defending his PhD thesis within the The Peter Harrison Laboratory.
His research, partly funded by British Wheelchair Basketball, provides valuable insights into the experiences and opportunities within the sport, contributing to a deeper understanding of access, development, and inclusion in wheelchair basketball.
Supervisor Dr David Maidment said:
"Completing a PhD is no small feat - it requires dedication, resilience, and passion. Adam consistently demonstrated all of these qualities in abundance throughout his research journey, and what a journey it’s been! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed supervising and working with Adam over the past 4 years. I have no doubt his work will have a meaningful impact to academia and parasport more generally - watch this space for some amazing forthcoming publications!"
Join us in congratulating Adam!
Special thanks to his examiners Dr Jamie Barker and Prof Hayley Fitzgerald, his co-supervisory team Ed Cope and Carolyn Plateau, and wider research team Vicky Goosey-Tolfrey and Carolynne Mason.
