Dr Suzanne Elayan

  • Senior Lecturer in Information Management

Dr Suzanne Elayan is a Senior Lecturer in Information Management (equivalent to Associate Professor) within the information management academic group. Her research spans both multidisciplinary collaborations and interdisciplinary projects drawing from information science, information management and computational linguistics to explore social media discourse; whether in the sphere of public health, political discourse, or customer experience management with over 20 publications in these research areas.

Suzanne has obtained funding as P-I and Co-I from various funding bodies and is a project partner on several projects with colleagues from the Swiss School of Public Health and the Centre for Community Research, Learning and Action at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada.

Suzanne is currently supervising two PhD students, having supervised three PhD students to completion and acted as external examiner for doctoral research viva examinations. Suzanne serves on the advisory board of the IDEAS (Interdisciplinary Doctoral Education and Advancement in Sustainability) doctoral programme at the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) in Ireland.
