Sam completed his BSc (Hons) in Physical Activity, Sport and Health at Sheffield Hallam University in 2020 before gaining his MSc in Exercise as Medicine from Loughborough University in 2021. Following his master's, Sam worked as a Health and Wellbeing Coordinator for over two and a half years. He helped to develop and implement a range of rehabilitation programmes that aim to improve health and wellbeing outcomes of people living with long term conditions such as cardiac, long covid, cancer and musculoskeletal.

Sam joined Professor Amanda Daley and the CLiMB team at Loughborough University in May 2024 as a Research Assistant and his main research focus is on the NIHR funded Snacktivity programme.
