Olasunkanmi holds a BSc in Biochemistry from Federal University Dutsin-ma, Nigeria, and an MSc in Nutrition from the University of Leeds. He is currently a doctoral researcher within the Centre for Lifestyle Medicine and Behaviour (CLiMB) at Loughborough University. His research focuses on how body mass index (BMI), ethnicity, and socioeconomic status interact in relation to surgery. His research will support efforts to address health inequalities and improve surgical outcomes, particularly in ethnic minority populations.
