We currently have over 20 LAPS practitioners working across all performance programmes at the University. The programme is led by Dr Karl Steptoe, Sport and Performance Psychology Lead at Loughborough University.

Jade Burton

Jade is person centered psychologist looking at athletes as a person and a performer to enhance performance. Based in the Women’s hockey team but has experience in swimming and touch rugby.

Melissa works with the Loughborough Cricket teams to support the performance and well-being of athletes. She is currently researching the impact of social identity on team level thriving.

Meghan is a REBT-based practitioner working with the Loughborough University Badminton performance programme. Her areas of interest include emotional regulation, resilience and perfectionism.

Jodie Dodds

Jodie Dodds

Jodie works with Loughborough’s Hockey Performance Program. She adopts a collaborative, creative approach that aims to enhance performance through supporting both the person and the athlete.

Olivia works with Lightning Wheelchair Basketball and Netball. She adopts a collaborative, compassionate approach that challenges you to become the kind of athlete, and person, you want to be.

Alex is an ACT-based practitioner working within the Loughborough Men’s Rugby Performance Programme. Her previous research specialises in performance under pressure and relationships in sport.

Chelsie works with Women’s Rugby and leads Rehab support, to enhance athlete and MDT mental wellbeing and performance. Her (ESRC) PhD at SSEHS explores ACL injury, rehab & disordered eating.

Tsvetelina has worked across a wide variety of sports, specialising in performance under pressure. With a goal-focused approach, she aims to help athletes enjoy a long and fulfilling career.
