Applying for accommodation as a London postgraduate student
If you've received an offer to study as a London postgraduate student, you can register for accommodation at Stratford One nearby to the Loughborough University London campus.
If you are a London postgraduate student starting your course in October, we recommend that you apply for a room in Stratford One halls of residence. We're here to guide you through the process and support you every step of the way.
Step one - Register your interest
To register your interest in staying at Stratford One during your studies at Loughborough University London, complete the London postgraduate accommodation request form.
Step two - Confirm preferred room type
After receiving your accommodation enquiry form, we will pass on your details to Unite Students (who manage Stratford One) within 3 days of submission.
You will then receive an email from Unite Students asking for confirmation of your preferred room type at Stratford One.
Step three - Book your room
Once you have confirmed your preferred room type, you will receive a unique booking link from Unite Students to register an account and book your room at Stratford One.
Please complete your account registration within 48 hours of clicking your unique link, to book your room. This link is individual to you, your room and the University – do not book any other way online.
To help make the application process as easy as possible, it's a good idea to get the following information ready:
- Your personal details - including of date of birth, email and home address
- Your guarantor’s details - including date of birth, email and home address
- (A guarantor is someone over the age of 25 who takes joint financial responsibility for your tenancy. If you are unable to pay, it is your guarantor's responsibility to do so.)
- Your emergency contact's details
- Payment details for your future rent instalments (Direct Debit or Card – payment schedule information is provided during and after the booking)
Step four - Accept your tenancy agreement
Once you have booked your room you must ensure you:
- Log into your account to review and accept your tenancy agreement.
- Your guarantor will receive an email with a link to accept their part too.
- Pay the advanced rent of £250
Once these steps have been completed, the booking will move to complete.
By accepting the contract, you will be entering into a legally binding agreement with Unite Students.
