Loughborough Studentpad Awards and Landlord Information Event
Loughborough Studentpad Awards recognise best practice, quality student housing and positive living experiences in Loughborough's private student accommodation sector.
Celebrating landlords that go above and beyond
We're celebrating our Loughborough Studentpad landlords who go the extra mile in providing an excellent service to students across a range of categories.
Student tenants can nominate their landlord based on their own experiences and tell us how a landlord has gone above and beyond to support their student experience. This can include: providing an ideal student home, supporting student wellbeing, or helping out in an emergency.
There are a number of categories that landlords can be nominated for and every student that submits a nomination will be entered into a prize draw with the opportunity to win a £50 Amazon voucher. There is also a category for landlords to nominate students tenants who are outstanding member of the local community.
You're invited to our landlord information event
Join us at our very first Loughborough Studentpad Awards night with an exclusive Landlord Information Event designed to help you navigate changes to the Renters Right Bill. The event will be held on Thursday 27 February 2025 between 18:00 – 20:30.
The Renters Right Bill has now been largely finalised and is now being reviewed by government before announcements are made on how and when it will become law. This change in legislation will have the biggest affect on private Landlords but it will also have far reaching impacts on aspects of operation for some other accommodation providers by changing parts of the Tenants Fees Act. When the legislation is brought into effect, all existing tenancies will be affected.
At our information event, landlords and agents have the opportunity to learn about the impending changes to legislation that will have a big impact on how the private housing market will operate.
Industry experts will deliver a presentation on what is included in the new Renters Rights Bill and specifically it’s impact of students landlords.
There will also be the opportunity for you to visit a range of information stalls run by industry experts, University Departments and Community Partners who provide services that are of interest to Landlords and accommodation providers. We're excited to reveal the final list of stall attendees shortly.
A meal will be provided for you at our event
All guests will be served a hot meal in the EHB servery after the presentation. Please notify us in advance of any dietary requirements. During this time you will also be able to revisit stalls at the event and network with other attendees.
