During your doctorate you may wish to support undergraduate teaching.

Supporting undergraduate teaching during your doctorate can be a highly rewarding experience, equipping you with a range of professional and transferable skills valued by employers in both academia and in industry. 

Teaching opportunities are advertised within Schools.

Before taking on any teaching, responsibilities, you must read the University’s Teaching Policy and complete the mandatory ‘Essential Teaching Skills Express’ course. 

If you have substantial teaching experience in Higher Education and meet certain eligibility criteria, you can apply to join our Teaching Recognition Scheme. Accredited by Advance HE, this scheme supports you in applying for Fellowship – an internationally-recognised professional accolade that showcases your expertise, impact, and leadership in the field of teaching and learning.
