Careers Development Co-ordinator

 

Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management (CIPD), ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management, ILM Level 3 Coaching, City and Guilds 7306 Teaching qualification, Member of AGCAS.

Elaine co-ordinates and provides day-to-day operational support within the Careers Development Team.  She also provides tailored careers coaching for students, graduates and staff of the University, both centrally and in Schools, to enhance student experiences and positive graduate outcomes.

In particular, Elaine supports students from the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering.

Elaine joined Careers Network in October 2023, having previously worked for the University for 22 years as Senior HR Officer and Student Admin Manager in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Elaine has a wealth of experience at the University and is passionate about learning and development, demonstrated by undertaking various job shadowing roles including in FM, Campus Living, Security, Careers, and Finance. Prior to working at the University, Elaine also worked in HR within the NHS, and in various other roles in the private sector.

Since March 2019, Elaine has also been supporting students in her additional role as Cayley Warden.  Elaine lives on campus with her family and dog Daisy, and (along with 3 sub-wardens) provides pastoral support to 330 undergraduate students living in Cayley Hall.
