Loughborough athletes were instrumental in the Men’s 4x400m Relay as Great Britain won a brilliant bronze at the Stade de France.
Current PhD student Alex Haydock-Wilson, alumnus Charlie Dobson, and Loughborough College alumnus Lewis Davey were all part of the squad that made history by smashing a 28-year-old European record to make the podium.

Current Loughborough University student Sophie Capewell’s Women’s Sprint campaign unfortunately ended at the quarter-final stage.
Capewell battled hard in a best-of-three race versus The Netherlands’s Hetty van de Wouw but succumbed to a 2-0 defeat. With a gold medal already under her belt, Sophie will compete for the final 5-8th standings tomorrow at 11.25 am.
