Children's Swimming Lessons
Our children's swimming lessons follow Swim England's National Learn to Swim programme ensuring they deliver the very highest standard of teaching and following an up-to-date syllabus with clearly defined progression levels. Children are encouraged to develop their skills and progress in stages whilst receiving continual assessment from their teacher. The lessons are structured into ability groups starting with Adult and Child and right through to Pre-Competition and Lifesaving.

New Joiners
We have spaces in our Stage 1 classes!
New starters to the scheme can book and join class waiting lists through the Home Portal. You will be contacted via email once a space becomes available, at which point booking and payment can be completed online.
- If your child is under 4 (minimum age - 18 months), we offer adult & child lessons which require a parent or guardian to accompany the child in the water.
- For children aged 4 years - 15 years, we offer swimming lessons from Stage 1 - 7 using Swim England's Learn 2 Swim Framework.
- For those who have completed all Learn to Swim Stages and are now wanting to develop their skills, we offer the Aquatic Skills Stages 8 -10 in Swimming and Rookie Lifesaving.
- Children who are 4 years old will be enrolled in Stage 1. We also offer a beginner's class specifically designed for children aged 7 and above.
- For children aged 4 and above who have participated in swimming activities elsewhere, please email swimming@lboro.ac.uk with your child's details and a copy of their most recent swimming certificate. Your child will then be placed on the appropriate waiting list.
HomePortal
Our swimming instructors will use iPads poolside to record each child’s attendance and stage progression. This information will be available for parents to view online through the HomePortal. Once your child is enrolled in a class, you will receive an email with details on how to sign up.
Prices
Swimming Lessons
Lessons can be purchased in blocks of 5 credits at the price of £29.75 or 10 credits at a price of £59.50.
Credits will not be reimbursed for missed sessions unless this is due to a long-term illness or injury that is supported by a doctor's note and may incur an admin fee stated in our swim school terms and conditions.
Swimming lessons run alongside the school term dates and continuous payment will be required before all credits expire to maintain your place. Credits can be topped up via the Home Portal.
Badges and certificates are awarded upon successful completion of each level and can be purchased from reception at a cost of £4.00 each.
