Children's Swimming Lessons Framework
Our swimming lessons start from Pre-School, through the Learn to Swim stages, and continue on to the Aquatics Skills swimming stages. Those who want to learn basic rescue and lifesaving skills can enrol in our Rookie Lifeguarding class after completing the Learn to Swim framework.
Learn to Swim programme
All new starters will join the age-appropriate frameworks below at Stage 1, unless they have attended a previous swim school.
Important: Please do not enrol your child in a higher stage of the swimming programme without providing evidence of their attained swimming awards to swimming@lboro.ac.uk. Those who fail to do so will be removed from the swimming programme and incur an admin fee, charged at the price of 2 sessions.
Options after completing the Learn to Swim framework
The swimming journey doesn't have to end yet, unless you want it to. Choose from one of the options below:
-
Continue your swimming journey by moving to the next stage on HomePortal (available to those who have completed Stage 7 and are under 15 and a half years old):
- Enrol in the Swimming Aquatics Skills framework and join Stage 8
- Enrol in a Rookie Lifeguarding class.
-
Freeze remaining credits if option 1 is unavailable and join the priority waiting list for a class day and time that suits you (a request must be submitted to Swimming@lboro.ac.uk for action).
-
Please note that once your child reaches the age of 15 and a half years, they will be removed from the waiting list and offered a refund of any remaining credits.
-
-
Leave the Learn to Swim programme:
- Once all remaining credits have been used.
- Immediately and request a refund for remaining credits (a request must be submitted to Swimming@lboro.ac.uk for action)
Important: Please do not continue to top up and stay in Stage 7 waiting for a space to become available; your child has completed the Learn to Swim framework and will not learn any additional competencies at this stage.
