Having the Loughborough University name I believe helped my employability, especially the course and the quantitative skills I developed, testing my academic ability.
Why did you choose to study your programme at Loughborough University?
The modules seemed interesting, also the reputation the University had and where alumni went on to work seemed appealing to me. In my spare time I run, so I was looking forward to seeing the sporting facilities; however, it was during COVID-19 and study remained off campus.
Why did you choose to continue onto further study?
I wanted to further my knowledge from completing a BA in Banking and Finance, understanding modelling, and it was good the course was close to the CFA.
What were you doing before starting the programme?
I completed my BA (Hons) degree whilst working part-time; I finished the MSc programme whilst working 20 hours part-time too, achieving a distinction mark.
What did you love most about your course?
I really enjoyed the Financial Markets and Institutions module; the coursework and essays I found really interesting and very enjoyable. I averaged I believe 86% in this module.
What kind of support did you receive?
The weekly drop-in sessions were helpful and tutors took time to explain things and offer extra support.

What has been your career journey after your MSc?
I started a project manager role, then moved to be a finance analyst for a global law firm with lawyers located in more than 40 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
My future ambitions include using my skills further and starting my own business.
What would you say to someone considering studying at Loughborough?
The facilities are good and the course is great!

The various opportunities available, and the support systems in place.
