The careers support at Loughborough helped me to be ready for the job market by assisting with my CV and cover letter. The professors did their best to keep us involved in course related activities, and I learnt new softwares and new skills while working on projects.

Why did you choose to study your programme at Loughborough University?

A councillor suggested Loughborough to me and they also supported my master's funding with a 20% scholarship.

Why did you choose to continue onto further study?

I studied a master's in Accounting, and wanted to deepen my knowledge in Finance as well.

What were you doing before starting the programme?

I was doing a mixture of studying and working remotely.

What did you love most about your course?

I would say there are three main things I loved about the course:     

  1. I got to learn new software
  2. I gained a basic knowledge of the UK market
  3. I loved the projects and how team effort was important to finishing successfully.

What was your experience of moving to/settling in at Loughborough like?

The various groups, clubs and societies really helped me to connect with other international students.

What kind of support did you receive from the department and/or the University?

My personal career guide was available to keep track of my achievements and helped with any issues when needed. She was so great and kind, highly responsive and did their best to assist me.

How did your time at Loughborough develop your employability?

What was a typical day like?

Typically I would wake up, cook breakfast, go to class, have lunch, meet friends and chill, before coming home and revising for the day.

What has been your career journey after your MSc?

I have recently started working in a finance role, and am still learning the work.

What would you say to someone considering studying at Loughborough?

Attend lectures, keep in touch with professors, and don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Also, work on projects which will help you to meet new people and help in coursework as well.

What was your favourite thing about being a Loughborough student?

The very huge, open, beautiful campus!

What facilities or resources have you found most helpful at Loughborough?

The sport facilities were amazing!
