Eligibility Criteria
Engineering Experience exists to support high achieving students from backgrounds which are underrepresented in higher education and engineering industry. Therefore, students must meet the following criteria to be considered for a place at Engineering Experience.
Students must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Live in an area which has a high level of financial, social or economic deprivation. This is defined by home postcode:
- IMD Quintile 1
- Eligible for Free School Meals (within the last 6 years) or currently in receipt of/known to be entitled to, Free School Meals or Pupil Premium.
- Time spent in care (3+ months)
AND meet all of the following:
- Predicted 5 GCSEs grades 6-9
- Predicted a minimum of grade 6 in GCSE Maths and a Science and 4 in GCSE English Language
- Attendance at state school/college
- In Year 11 when applying
- UK fee paying student (or expect to be upon applying to university)
- Expect to study A-level science and maths in your post-16 studies.
