Itinerary
Each Inspiring Minds event includes 4 session choices, plus a careers talk and alumni panel. You will be invited to select your session choices a month before the event. A timetable for each of the days can be found below:

Location
Your event will be held across the Loughborough University East Midlands campus. On arrival please head towards the following buildings:
- 1st April for Business, Economics, Social Sciences and Humanities: James France Building
- 2nd April for Sport: James France Building
- 3rd April for STEM: West Park Teaching Hub

Travel
Loughborough University is conveniently located in the East Midlands and offers easy accessibility via train, bus or car. The nearest train station is Loughborough, a brief 20-minute bus ride from campus.
For those driving, we are just two miles from the M1 motorway junction 23, with free on-site parking during the event. To access free parking please register your vehicle at one of our pay-points on campus using our free parking code, which will be updated on this page 2 weeks before the event. If you have any issues with parking please head towards the event check-in and one of our staff members can help out.
Additional directions can be found on our website. Please allow plenty of time to travel to reach the venue. Registration opens at 9:00 and the main sessions will commence at 9:30.
Parking
Parking on campus is free of charge for guests attending our Inspiring Minds days, however it is important to note that you still need to register your vehicle with us. You can do this in advance of your event or when you arrive on campus.
Please note: if you use the QR codes displayed on the permanent day-to-day signage in our car parks on campus on the day of your event, a 20p administrative fee will be charged. To park for free, please use the links provided below either prior to your visit or on arrival. If you are unsure, please speak to a member of staff or student ambassador on the day - they will be happy to assist you.
Pre-event registration
You can pre-register for free parking in advance of your visit. Pre-registration is available up until the day before your visit day.
Once you pre-register there is nothing else you need to do. On the day of your event, you simply park up in one of our car parks and head to your event. Our Security and ambassador teams will be on hand to direct you to the most suitable parking close to your event venue.
How to pre-book parking:
Step 1: Visit the Apcoa prebook website
Step 2: Search for Loughborough University and choose date/time of visit.
Step 3: Click “Book Now” on Loughborough University Car Parks.
Step 4: Confirm location and times and click “Book Now”.
Step 5: Enter your details including vehicle registration number.
Step 6: Add the promo code bellow linked to the event day your are attending. Enter it and click “Apply”.
Step 7: Click “Book Now”. Keep a copy of your booking confirmation in case you need to make changes before your visit.

Parents and Guardians
Parents and Guardians are welcome to stay for the full duration of the event.
Unfortunately, due to limited capacity, parents and guardians will not be able to join in on all of the academic taster sessions. The drop downs below will show what is available for parents and guardians on each event.
There will also be catering outlets open on campus and free Wi-Fi available for parents and guardians to make use of.
Business, Economics, Social Sciences and Humanities
Throughout the day our parents and guardians hub will be open on the mezzanine in James France. Here, you can speak to a member of our team who can answer any questions you have such as student finance, accommodation and student support.
For the rest of the day parents are welcome to join on any of our information, advice and guidance sessions or campus tours. Our team will also be based in the foyer to answer any of your questions.
Sport

STEM
During the first academic session (10:00 - 11:00) there will be a parents and guardians talk, covering all things higher education including student finance, accommodation and support for students.

Dress Code
There is no formal dress code for the event, although part of the day may include walking outside across campus, so please dress appropriately and for the weather and wear sensible footwear.
All students participating in practical lab-based activities MUST wear clothing that covers the legs (no shorts or skirts) and MUST wear covered shoes (no flip flops/sandals etc.). For Inspiring Minds: Sport there may be some practical sessions which require sports clothing. You will be informed of this when making your session choices.
Lunch
Lunch will not be provided, so please bring a packed lunch with you. There will be an on-site shop open during the event, however, this may become busy with limited stock. Please note we are a cashless campus.
Loughborough University Image Capture Policy
This event may be photographed and filmed. Images may be used in University prospectuses, course brochures and other publicity material (e.g. internal and external newsletters and the University website). It is not possible or practical to seek consent for image capture from each individual attending this event. The University will therefore conclude that by attending the event, participants agree to their image being captured for the purposes stated above. If you object to your image being captured, please email us and we will respect your decision.
